Date of Birth : 06.10.1951 at Peddur, Chikkaballapor District in Karnataka State.
Graduated in Law : SJRLC, Bangalore in the year 1975 from Bangalore University.
Enrolled as an Advocate on 14.11.1975.
Practised at Bangalore in 1975 and handled Constitutional Matters, Writ Petitions in High
Court and cases relating to Labour, Service, Civil, Co-operative Society, Land Reforms,
Matrimonial and all other Civil matters.
Worked as Standing Counsel for Mahanagar Palika from 1983 to 1993 and 1995 and in 1995
he worked as Standing Counsel for Karnataka Public Service Commission and was the
Member of Karnataka State Bar Council and Chairman of Enrolment Committee, till
elevation as Additional Judge of Karnataka High Court on 11.06. 1997.
Appointed as Permanent Judge on 03.06.1999.
Executive Chairman, Karnataka State Legal Service Authority from 23.06.2006 and Member
National Legal Service Authority, New Delhi from 07.01.2009.
Appointed and took Oath as Chief Justice of Orissa High Court, Cuttack on 25.03.2010.
